Servings: 2 serves
Course: Appetizer, Main Course

Ingredients

  • 300 g chicken breast (thinly sliced)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen, slightly blanched if needed)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp oyster sauce (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1 tsp corn flour (cornstarch)
  • 1 tbsp water (to dissolve the corn flour)
  • 1 tbsp sunflower oil (or olive oil)
  • A pinch of black pepper

Equipment

  • 1 Cutting board and knife
  • 1 Large frying pan or wok
  • 1 Small bow (for sauce mix)
  • 1 Wooden spatula or stir-fry spoon

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients
Slice the chicken breast thinly and cut broccoli into bite-sized florets. Mince garlic. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, water, and corn flour to create your stir-fry sauce.
  2. Cook the chicken
Heat oil in a pan or wok over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add sliced chicken and stir-fry for 4–5 minutes until fully cooked and lightly golden.
  3. Add broccoli
Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for another 2–3 minutes. Keep them slightly crunchy for the best texture and nutrition.
  4. Add the sauce
Give your sauce a quick stir, then pour it over the chicken and broccoli. Stir everything together for 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and coats all the ingredients evenly.
  5. Serve hot
Turn off the heat and serve immediately over steamed rice, noodles, or enjoy it as a light, protein-rich meal on its own.
